Graceanne Svendsen is the Practice Manager for Shafer Plastic Surgery and Laser Center and a licensed aesthetician, certified laser technician and health coach. She has almost fifteen years experience in the medical fields of plastic surgery, dermatology and the healing arts.
With over twenty-five years of corporate business experience, she uses her background to fortify Shafer Plastic Surgery’s reputation for elite patient care and cutting edge technology. She partners with Dr. Shafer in expanding the laser center’s renowned reputation as a driving force in a competitive industry pushing clinical results beyond the vast capabilities of the current norms.
With her patients, she is lauded for her warm and caring approach to beauty on the inside and out, as well as her dedication to fostering skin health. Graceanne has extensive training in a wide variety of skin care, anti-aging and wellness techniques and specializes in vaginal rejuvenation laser technology. She is passionate about providing superior client service, while using only the highest quality, medical-grade products and cutting-edge treatment protocols.
At Shafer Plastic Surgery, Graceanne performs many advanced procedures such as dermaplaning, Hydra Facials, peels, laser hair removal, rosacea laser treatments, photofacials, Sublative Fractional RF skin tightening as well as micro needling and platelet rich plasma (PRP). Currently, she specializes in the newest non-surgical laser technology for vaginal rejuvenation. Her protocols for pre-surgery skin care, post-surgical laser scar therapy for and lymphatic drainage are standardized within Dr. Shafer’s practice.
A graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she is also a certified holistic health coach and uses her expertise to guide patients on inner beauty protocols as well as creating treatment plans for radiant skin.
Recently, she and Dr. Shafer published clinical papers on vaginal rejuvenation and were featured in “The Aesthetic Guide” expert roundtable discussing their ground breaking techniques. This summer they were featured in Star Magazine and www.abcnews.com as well as a New York Social Diary article on microneedling and PRP. Currently she is serving on the Advisory Board for Skin Medica, a division of Allergan and is a professional consultant for Guidepoint Advisors, Inc.
She lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her creative and artistic daughter. Together they enjoy walking in their neighborhood, exploring Prospect Park, and tasting their way through New York’s amazing restaurants. In her spare time Graceanne studies latin ballroom dance, does Pure Barre and enjoys cooking extravaganzas on Sundays.
